Party Day!!

Austin's first birthday party was a huge success. We had a small party at the house! Thank you to our family and friends that helped us celebrate our special birthday boy on his party day! I love the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child." I believe we have the BEST village helping us bring up this little boy that is oh so very loved by so many people.

12 Months/1 Year Old

I am glad that I took the time to write about the first 12 months of Austin's life. I love looking back to see how much he has grown and changed in this first year. My baby boy is officially one and now a toddler!

This month we went to his one year check up with Dr. N and received a great report!

Weight: 20lbs 2oz (31%), Height: 30in (56%), Head: 18in (39%)

Physical Exam: Normal

Development: Excellent

Yay, I'm ONE!

"MOMMMMY, NO MORE MONTHLY PICTURES!!!"

At ONE Austin is walking, crawling, climbing, laughing, making connections to objects, sounds, and pictures, saying "dada", "mama", and "dog", sleeping great, eating great, going to a sitter during the day, HAPPY almost all the time, sweet, curious and melting my heart. His favorite things are fruit, bath time, his stuffed friends (Wilson and Rowdy), Mommy and Daddy, going outside, new birthday toys, and snack time! He wears size 12 month clothes, size 4 shoes and size 4 diapers. He eats all foods. After his appointment we weaned him off the formula and in a few days he was completely off and drinking all whole milk. He takes three bottles a day and we will slowly tapper that down in the coming months.

At the end of his doctor's appointment Dr. N waved his "magic wand" over Austin and announced, "Poof! Now you have a toddler!" We can't wait to continue to watch you grow and learn Austin.
